Gigi Genivia So
Bio
Gigi Genivia So (b. Hong Kong) is a New York–based designer and creative director working across fashion, casting, and production. Shaped by early training in classical opera, her work moves between formality and wit. She treats garments as active elements within a scene rather than static objects, often through iterative elements and modularity. Gigi collaborates with brands and artists as one half of Lucas and Genivia.
DREADNOUGHT explores the convergence of maritime utility and operatic spectacle, where function and performance coexist in dress. The collection examines how function is exaggerated into excess, creating tension between practicality and embellishment. Garments are modular and interchangeable, forming new silhouettes when combined.
