Bio

Heqing Liu is a Shanghai / LA-based fashion designer and stylist with a focus on the expression of nostalgia through garments, as well as on deconstruction, innovative materiality and accessories, and the use of color. Born and raised in China, she infuses her designs with the emotions and experiences of a childhood spent navigating the delicate balance between happiness and pain, an upbringing characterized by the unique blend of repression and deep affection found in East Asia, thereby forging a grotesque yet cute style.

Having participated in the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum Project and completed marketing internships at LVMH and TOD’S, her designs consistently showcase a distinctive personal style while prioritizing wearability, innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.
