Samhati (union; coming together)

It explores how fragility can be held and articulated through systems of relation. Delicate materials are shaped through processes of braiding, felting, and stitched thread networks, where strength emerges from interconnection, repetition, and shared tension. Drawing from natural systems such as honeycombs, cocoons, and webs, the work considers how accumulation and interweaving generate strength without rigidity.

Rather than concealing fragility, these techniques allow softness to persist within collective frameworks. The garments propose that strength is not inherent to individual elements, but develops through dependence and exchange. They create an intimate relationship between the body and material. Surfaces are built through layering, forming soft structures that remain permeable yet responsive. Material behavior plays a central role in guiding form, allowing process to shape outcomes. In this way, fragility is not overridden or changed, but fostered in its existing state.
