Bio
Frida (Zixi) Wang is a fashion designer whose work is driven by self-exploration and personal narrative. She views design as both functional and psychological, creating objects that hold emotion and meaning. Her practice often explores contrasts—interior and exterior, softness and structure—seeking to translate inner experiences into tangible forms.
Soft objects like pillows and bedding become extensions of emotion, holding feelings like comfort, control, and dependence.
When others see it, this safe space feels exposed and uneasy, where closeness and the fear of being seen exist together.
A constructed intimate space, the body and objects coexist. The bags act not only as functional items, but as extensions that hold memory, presence, and emotional weight.
