I explore how negative emotions and depression create a quiet exhaustion that distances people from joy, while revealing a deep desire for calm and solitude. Through the soft, repetitive textures of yarn and the emotional qualities of color—especially green, pink, and blue—I create a sense of warmth, balance, and healing.
I view emotions as physical and flexible, capable of being shaped yet always able to return to equilibrium. My inspiration is connected to jellyfish, which, to me personally, is a protective shield from outside just like negative emotions. My work aims to offer a gentle, tactile experience that fosters self-awareness and emotional restoration.

In today’s society, people often feel overwhelmed by negative emotions. These emotions slowly drain their interest in life and cause them to lose hope in the things they once loved. To me, this is what depression represents—a quiet exhaustion that dulls the senses and silences joy. Many people are unable to release their negative feelings; instead, they hold them inside. Deep down, however, there remains a desire for stillness—a space to be alone amid the chaos.

In my view, emotions can take physical form. They can be stretched, compressed, layered, or twisted under external pressure. Yet, no matter how much their shape changes, they always have the potential to return to their original state. This idea represents healing—the belief that even when our emotions are affected by negativity, they still have the ability to recover and restore themselves.

Through soft, spacious, and repetitive textures, I aim to create a healing experience that helps people reconnect with their emotions. The texture, form, and rhythm of my work symbolize a quiet and gentle journey—one that leads toward balance, self-awareness, and emotional restoration.
