Echo Xu is a fashion designer from China, working at the intersection of emotion, perception, and everyday life. Echo’s practice is driven by an ongoing exploration of emotional and psychological experiences. Echo visualizes the invisible—translating subtle feelings, memories, and inner states into material and visual forms, where clothing becomes a medium for making the intangible perceptible.
In a city where proximity does not guarantee connection, this collection traces invisible boundaries between bodies. Through a co-design process enabled by subtractive cutting, garments emerge from shared gestures, holding distance and intimacy. Openings allow emotions to pass, while layers protect and reveal. Each piece invites multiple ways of wearing, becoming a living space where boundaries soften and connection is felt.
